Tutorial Tuesday – Glorious Gingham

I love gingham. In fact, I think I have approximately 892 gingham items in my closet right now. It is a classic pattern, and I was inspired to decorate some furniture with the design.

This could really not be easier. You will need watercolor paint (I chose red) and your choice of Smalltown Flats (I painted two – the Trestle Table and Pair O’Chairs).

Paint parallel lines, leaving a gap the same width as the paint brush you are using. Turn the furniture flat 90 degrees and do it again.

This finished set reminds me of picnics and long summer days – hope you enjoy yours!
